DAY 1:     Thurs 2nd June        ALICE SPRINGS – ULURU
Depart Alice Springs at 7:00am (coach and caravan parking area, Leichhardt Terrace, opposite entrance to Gregory Terrace) then to Erldunda for morning tea and on to Uluru. After a picnic lunch we drive to the base of Uluru (time allowed to walk around the base). Enjoy sunset viewing of the Rock then our first night “Bush Lodge” accommodation at Ayers Rock Campground.    (L,D)

DAY 2:     Fri 3rd June            ULURU - GILES WEATHER STATION
Highlights today include a brief walk at Kata Tjuta, then along the Gunbarrel Highway (stopping at Lasseters Cave) and through Docker River just beyond the WA border for our overnight “Bush Lodge” accommodation adjacent to Warakurna Road House.    (B,L,D)

DAY 3:    Sat 4th June            GILES WEATHER STATION - TJUKAYIRLA ROUD HOUSE 
A visit to the weather station then continuing on through rolling spinifex covered plains and low sandridge country through Warburton to Tjukayirla.  Overnight  in “Bush Lodge” at Tjukayirla Road House.    (B,L,D)

DAY 4:    Sun 5th June            TJUKAYIRLA – LEONORA
Following the Great Central Road today via Laverton to the gold mining town of Leonora for the next two nights.    (B,L,D)

DAY 5:    Mon 6th June            LEONORA
We visit the historic Gwalia mine and museum in the house that was built for Herbert Hoover who later became the 31st President of the USA.  View the huge open cut mine from the platform and browse the town that was abandoned in the 1960’s when the mine closed.     (B,L,D)

DAY 6:    Tues 7th June            LEONORA - MT MAGNET
A full day in the heart of WA’s historic gold/nickel mining region with visits to Lienster and Sandstone.  Overnight in Mt Magnet which has the oldest still working gold mines in WA.    (B,L,D)

DAY 7:    Wed 8th June            MT MAGNET - NEWMAN
Today via Meekatharra to Newman with it's massive iron ore mines.    (B,L,D) 

DAY 8:    Thurs 9th June            NEWMAN - HAMERSLEY GORGES - TOM PRICE
We spend most of today enjoying the spectacular beauty of the Karijini National Park in the Hamersley Ranges.  Time to walk along the many well formed and easy trails and take a swim in the magnificent fern pool.    (B,L,D)

DAY 9:    Fri 10th June                TOM PRICE
This morning is enjoyed on a fascinating tour of the iron ore mines with a special trained mines guide.  Later we use the 4WD capacity of our coach to drive to the summit of Mt Nameless – the highest mountain in WA for the most impressive views of the Pilbara.

DAY 10:    Sat 11th June            TOM PRICE - ROEBOURNE
Today’s scenic drive is highlighted by a visit to the Millstream National Park and a walk to the Python Pool.  On then to historic Roebourne for the next two nights.    (B,L,D)

DAY 11:    Sun 12th June            ROEBOURNE - DAMPIER - KARRATHA 
Today we explore Roebourne and Cossack, the oldest towns in the Pilbara and also Dampier and Karratha that owe their existence to the iron ore and gas fields nearby.    (B,L)

DAY 12:    Mon 13th June            ROEBOURNE - EIGHTY MILE BEACH
Northward today following the Great Northern Highway via Port Hedland to our overnight “Bush Lodge” accommodation adjacent to the Eighty Mile Beach.     (B,L,D)

DAY 13:    Tues 14th June            EIGHTY MILE BEACH – BROOME
Arrive in Broome early afternoon and enjoy a tour of this historic former pearling town and now thriving tourism centre. You will then be dropped off at your accommodation either in Broome or Cable Beach.   (B,L)
