DAY 1:    SYDNEY - BATEMANS BAY
Depart Strathfield Railway Station at 8:00am, Sutherland 9:00am, Wollongong 10:30am then to Coolangatta Estate for a ride on the huge “Coolangatta’s Bigfoot” machine. The one hour tour of the convict built estate and vineyards is highlighted by the adventurous climb to the summit of Mt Coolangatta for the best views of the South Coast. Picnic lunch in Nowra then on to Batemans Bay for our first night on tour.    (L,D) 

DAY 2:    BATEMANS BAY - LAKES ENTRANCE
Travel via the Princes Highway to Lakes Entrance via Eden and Orbost.    (B,L,D) 

DAY 3:    LAKES ENTRANCE - FRANKSTON
A leisurely day’s drive through Gippsland via Bairnsdale, Sale and Welshpool to Frankston on the Mornington Peninsula. Overnight motel accommodation.    (B,L,D)

DAY 4:    FRANKSTON - APOLLO BAY
Morning crossing of Port Phillip Bay from Sorrento to Queenscliff, then we experience one of the great scenic drives of the world as we follow the southern Victorian coastline along the Great Ocean Road with many points from which to enjoy the great views. Along the way we visit Bells Beach, Anglesea, Lorne and many pretty seaside villages with tonight's motel accommodation in Apollo Bay (dinner at your own expense).    (B,L)

DAY 5:    APOLLO BAY - OTWAYS - WARRNAMBOOL
More spectacular scenery along the Great Ocean Road today after a detour into the Otway Ranges and the chance to experience the Otway Fly Treetop Walk with it’s walkways suspended high up in the tall trees. From here we visit perhaps the most recognisable features of the drive with stops at the 12 Apostles, London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge and pretty Port Campbell. Overnight motel accommodation in Warrnambool.    (B,L,D)

DAY 6:    WARRNAMBOOL - HALLS GAP (Grampians)
The final coastal highlights before heading inland is a visit to the very pretty little former whaling settlement of Port Fairy. We have time to stroll around the boat harbour and historic buildings then heading via Dunkeld to Halls Gap in the Grampians for the next two nights in motel accommodation.    (B,L,D)

DAY 7:    GRAMPIANS NATIONAL PARK
A day fully occupied in enjoying the great scenic beauty of the Grampians with many short walks for the energetic plus wonderful lookouts, waterfalls etc.    (B,L,D)  

DAY 8:    HALLS GAP - MANSFIELD
Travel via Stawell where we visit an operating gold mine and to the Hanging Rock for a “picnic” lunch then to Mansfield for the next two nights.    (B,L,D)

DAY 9:    CRAIG'S HUT ON MT STIRLING
Today is a day full of highlights in the high country where we drive along rugged tracks high on Mt Stirling to Craig’s Hut that was featured in the movie “The man From Snowy River”. Tonight we enjoy a traditional “cattleman’s” dinner on a local property and see a display of whip cracking, horse breaking etc.    (B,L,D)

DAY 10:  MANSFIELD - ALBURY
A visit to Stringybark Creek (where the Kelly Gang shot three policemen) is our first stop then on to the impressive Powers Lookout for a lunch stop. We then drive via the pretty King Valley, Lake Buffalo and Beechworth to Albury.    (B,L,D)

DAY 11:  ALBURY - SYDNEY
To Sydney via the Hume Hwy with regular stops along the way arriving at Strathfield 5:00pm, Sutherland 6:00pm, Wollongong 7:30pm, Nowra 8:30pm.     (B)
